I waited 1 year to submit a review in order to give this product and the installation a chance to be scrutinized in all weather conditions.  At this point, I am extremely satisfied.  The installation was quick and easy with no disruption to my family (everything was done externally).  The owner, Steve, thoughtfully explained the product and its expectations.  During a warm summer my family enjoyed a comfortable second floor for the first time since our purchase 6 years ago.  Before the installation the “attic effect” was tough to deal with and made our air conditioners defenseless.  During rain/snow there have been no leaks and all dampness in my attic is gone.  I also appreciated prompt delivery of the necessary documents to hand over to my accountant.  We are satisfied customers.

I was very impressed by the fast service in getting a phone call and an appointment scheduled. Today, May 21st, was a 90 degree day. I live in a dormered cape and generally days like this make the 2nd floor unbearable without A/C. I had no windows open and it was at least 10-15 degrees cooler than before the fan was installed. This is awesome and will help me minimize the amount of energy I use to cool my house! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to reduce their energy costs and help the environment by using Mother Earth’s natural energy.

The oven effect is gone. Our upstairs living space is now within a few degrees of the downstairs after installing a solar fan and a few super vents on our 2000 sq ft hip roof home. I wanted a passive solution that didn’t add to our electic bill and was pleased to see the fan operating on indirect sunlight as early as 7:30 am. That’s the immediate practical part. More importantly to me our attic breathes easier, exchanges air, preventing moisture build-up and will give longer life to our roof framing. July 4th heatwave 2010.

Steve, we noticed a significant difference on the second floor of our home. During the 2 hot days last week, the second floor was probably 6-8 deg cooler. Normalle, when it gets into the 90’s, the second floor is around 80 deg. But with the new solar attic fan, the temperature was 72 deg. We are very satisified. It was worth the cost. Also, we did not have to put on the central air conditioning, just to cool off the second floor. I have told all of my friends about your product.

I’ve had the solar fan 24 hours. The outside temperature went up to the mid-90’s today. I switched on our central air and I can say that the info about how much the solar fan would help, that’s an understatement. The house cooled down much faster and the air conditioner shut down and recycled. That’s a first. When outside temps are in the 90’s, our central air conditioning NEVER shut down. Thanks, it’s a nice product.

A HOT ATTIC WILL COST YOU MONEY How? For starters, it makes your air conditioner work harder. So cooling your home during hot weather doubles, even triples your electric bill. Heat also ages your roof faster and creates a breeding ground for mold and fungus in your attic—both major, major repairs.   The full story about how the Solar Powered Attic Fan can cool your home while saving you money, is on our About Us page.
